SENIOR PHYSIO Chris Morgan is leaving Arsenal after two years to return to Liverpool.
Morgan spent more than a decade with the Reds, latterly as Head Physio, and worked with Jurgen Klopp for nine months before leaving for Crystal Palace in June 2016.
After 16 months with the Eagles he joined Arsenal as a senior physio in July 2018. However, his family remained in the North West and he retained friends at Liverpool, making a move back appealing.
Morgan is currently three weeks into a three-month notice period and will join the Premier League champions ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Liverpool are short of physios with Richie Partridge having left to join the Qatar national team in March and Christopher Rohrbeck departing to return to his native Germany at the end of the season, as TGG has previously revealed.
At Anfield, Morgan will work under Head Physio Lee Nobes, who joined from rivals Manchester City in November 2018.
Arsenal are themselves now light on physios, with Paulo Barreira announcing he was leaving last month at the end of his two-year contract.
Meanwhile, Jim Moxon is to stay on as first-team doctor for Liverpool, having initially stepped up on a temporary basis when Head of Medical Andy Massey left to join Fifa in March.
