HUDDERSFIELD TOWN Head of Football Operations David Webb is to leave the Championship club at the end of the season.
Webb, who joined from Swedish side Östersunds in mid-August 2019, was instrumental in bringing in manager Danny Cowley in September and also drove the club’s transfer activity last month.
Huddersfield chairman Phil Hodgkinson explained: “David and I have had several discussions about what’s best for everyone moving forward and, following a final discussion this week, we’ve decided that we will part ways at the conclusion of the current season.
“David is a good man. We thank him and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. The Head of Football Operations role is still very important to the long-term vision of the Club and we have succession plans in place, which we will implement soon.”
Webb, who is speaking at TGG's Modern Leadership event in April, was Technical Director at Östersunds for almost a year and has also been Head of Player Recruitment at Bournemouth and Head of Elite Player Identification at Tottenham.
Huddersfield are now looking for their fourth incumbent since Football Operations Director Stuart Webber left in April 2017.
David Moss was hired as Head of Football Operations in June 2017 but lasted only four months; German Olaf Rebbe came in as Sporting Director in May 2018, and left after eight months; and now Webb will be exiting after a season.
