NORWICH CITY Sporting Director Stuart Webber has signed a new 12-month rolling contract with the club that will take effect from the end of this season.

Webber has been with the Canaries since April 2017 and overseen two promotions, a relegation and a dramatic improvement in the club’s infrastructure.

His previous three-year deal was announced in September 2019 and was due to expire at the end of June 2022. The Welshman had previously suggested he would seek a new challenge, probably abroad, after that but has had a change of heart.

His new contract was announced at the club’s Annual General Meeting at Carrow Road last night (November 25th).

When Webber arrived at Norwich the club was in its final season of parachute payments and had the second highest wage bill in the history of the Championship.

The club has now changed significantly, with a revamped Academy and training centre. Dean Smith was installed as the club’s new Head Coach during the recent international break, replacing German Daniel Farke.
