STEVE SPARKS has left Southampton after a decade to become first-team physio at Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's team have been short of full-time physios following the departure of Lee Nobes and Steve Lilley to Liverpool. Sparks is a movement and rehab specialist who first joined Southampton's Academy in September 2010, having previously worked for Portsmouth for three years.

He was appointed to the first team in August 2018. James Baldwin is City's Head Physio, having replaced Nobes following his exit to Liverpool at the end of 2018.

Anthony Green and Federico Genovesi are City's other first-team physios.
