STEVE WEAVER is set to take over as Head of Norwich’s Academy at the end of September, when his gardening leave with Huddersfield Town has ended.

Sporting Director Stuart Webber is expected to inform Norwich’s Academy staff about the appointment at a meeting on Monday. Weaver, 44, left his job at Huddersfield on August 3rd. Norwich Academy boss Richard Money stepped down by mutual consent last Wednesday.

Webber has replaced every first-team head of department at the club other than chief physio Stuart Wardle since he arrived in April.

A review of Academy practices and effectiveness will be conducted when the transfer window closes.
