FLO NEWTON has been promoted from the Academy to become first-team doctor at Arsenal.
The 26-year-old, who has worked for the Gunners since 2015, will report to Head of Medical Gary O’Driscoll. Newton was part of the staff for Arsenal's pre-season tour of the United State last July and has now been made a permanent fixture.
As we reported in March, O’Driscoll agreed to move to Liverpool at the turn of the year, only to subsequently have a change of heart.
O'Driscoll joined Arsenal as club doctor in 2009 and was promoted to Head of Medical in 2017, replacing club stalwart Colin Lewin.
