CRYSTAL PALACE have confirmed that Head of Coaching David Muir has resigned following allegations that he made a racial comment while on a Football Association coaching course in February.

Muir resigned earlier this month after Palace opened an internal investigation into the incident. He had been with the club for more than 11 years, joining as an Education and Welfare Officer in January 2008.

He was promoted to Head of Coaching in January 2013. “David Muir has resigned from his position as head of coaching at Crystal Palace Football Club," a club spokesman confirmed.
