HUDDERSFIELD TOWN recruitment co-ordinator Chris Baker has left the club after three years to join Manchester City.
As Talent ID Co-ordinator, the former physics teacher will co-ordinate scouting work at City Football Group, but will also work closely with Brian Prestidge’s Insights team on integrating data into the process.

Baker (pictured) started at Huddersfield in August 2017 as scouting co-ordinator before becoming recruitment co-ordinator a year later.
He described his role as “combining traditional scouting with video scouting, advanced statistics and background research.”
This involved setting up and then managing a process for tracking information including scouting reports and statistics, using tools including R Studio and Tableau.
This research and information was then used to inform decision-making about player trading.
