WATFORD Head of Performance Jordi Garcia has left the club after less than four months.
The Spaniard, who has previously worked for Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid, was appointed in July when his compatriot Xisco Muñoz was Head Coach.
However, following the appointment of Claudio Ranieri as Muñoz’s successor, there was a mutual agreement between Garcia and the club that he should leave.
The practitioner was highly experienced and played a key role in setting up Real Madrid’s high performance centre, known as Real Madrid TEC, during his time with the Spanish giants.
For the previous decade he has worked primarily in China and the Middle East. At Vicarage Road he replaced Moises de Hoyo, who himself lasted only four months in post before deciding to return to Spain for family reasons.
The club are expected to appoint a replacement for Garcia in the coming weeks.
