GUY BRANSTON has left his role as PDP Loans Manager at Leicester City to become an agent.

The 43-year-old joined the Foxes as an Academy coach at the end of 2017 before being appointed to the new loans role a year later. Leicester are currently advertising for a replacement, who will “support the identification of loan opportunities through an in-depth analysis of football league clubs and their own network of individuals across the football landscape.”

Branston was Director of Recruitment and Development at Chesterfield from April to October 2017 ahead of his move to Leicester.

The former centre-back, who made more than 400 senior appearances, came through the ranks at Leicester as a player, although he didn't make a senior appearance for the club. One of his Academy coaches at Leicester was Jon Rudkin, who is now the club’s Director of Football. Branston’s new role is with the agency Omnisports.

In other news, Ben Petty has been appointed as Leicester's permanent Under-23s Head Coach, with Leon McSweeney as his assistant. The duo had been doing the roles since the departure of former U23s boss Steve Beaglehole, who had been with the club for more than two decades.

The full list of Leicester’s Academy staff is below. In one other interesting change, Alistair Heath left his job as U14s lead in November to become manager of Angkor Tigers in Cambodia.

The club are also advertising for a Player Care and Personal Development Officer to work with Paul Wassell, who heads the department.
