Forest hire former Chelsea man Fearn as Head Physio

JON FEARN, who was Chelsea's physio for 13 years up until January, has joined Nottingham Forest as their new Head Physio.
Fearn left the Blues in January following a medical revamp ordered by new Chairman Todd Boehly. This also led to the departures of Medical Director Paco Biosca, Head Physio Thierry Laurent and physio Jason Palmer.
Forest have responded by bolstering their medical department with one of the most experienced physios in the Premier League. Fearn joined Chelsea in January 2010 from Reading and worked under 11 different managers during a period in which the Stamford Bridge club won 12 major trophies.
Forest have been busy strengthening their medical and performance department this summer, with Alek Gross, who formerly worked for Southampton for a decade, joining as Head of Performance. Dave Tivey will continue with that same job title but focus on working specifically with Steve Cooper and the first team.
Fearn will oversee a department that include Forest physios Niall Stevens, Mark Devonshire and Dimitris Kaplanis.
Chelsea have also been rebuilding their medical and performance department this summer following the cull that led to Fearn's exit. Australian Bryce Kavanagh has joined from The Football Association as Head of Performance, while Dave Fevre is staying on for a further season as consultant physio.
