DANIEL FARKE has brought four of his former Norwich City staff with him to Leeds United.

The German, who was appointed last week, enjoyed the most successful spell of his managerial career at Norwich, securing two promotions to the Premier League in four years.

The quartet he has brought with him to Elland Road are:

  • Eddie Riemer (Assistant)
  • Christopher John (First-Team Coach)
  • Chris Domogalla (Performance Coach)
  • Ed Wootten (Goalkeeper Coach)

Riemer played for Farke at SV Lippstadt and has been with him throughout his managerial career, at Borussia Dortmund II, Norwich, Krasnodar and Borussia Monchengladbach.

John was on the manager's coaching staff at Lippstadt and then reunited with him at Norwich, following on to Krasnodar and Monchengladbach. Domogalla first worked with Farke at Dortmund II and has been with him ever since.

Wootten actually remained at Norwich when Farke was sacked in 2021, but has now reunited with him after eight years with the Canaries. In his place, Norwich have hired the former Huddersfield Town Goalkeeper Coach Paul Clements, who left the Terriers last month after eight years.

Leeds' previous keeper coach was the Spaniard Marcos Abad, who left the club last week after six years. Writing on Twitter, he thanked the club for a “wonderful professional and personal adventure”.

Meanwhile, Michael Skubala, who stepped up to become Leeds' Assistant in January and actually took charge of the side for three games following the sacking of Jesse Marsch in February, is to return to his previous role of Under-21s Head Coach.

The former England Futsal Head Coach was appointed to the U21s role last July.
