STEVE COOPER has completed his Nottingham Forest backroom staff with the appointment of David Tivey as Head of Sport Science.

The duo worked together at the Football Association, including with England Under-17s when they won the World Cup in 2017, and at Swansea City from June 2019. They took the Swans to last season's play-off final, which they lost to Brentford, before departing a few weeks later.

Cooper took over from Chris Hughton as Forest Head Coach in September and brought three members of staff with him:

  • Alan Tate (Assistant): Was first-team coach with Cooper at Swansea.
  • Danny Alcock (Goalkeeper Coach): Goalkeeper coach with the England age group teams from August 2018.
  • Steve Rands (Head of Analysis): Worked with Cooper at Swansea and formerly Head of Analysis with Derby and Manchester City.

In addition, Steven Reid has stayed on from Chris Hughton’s staff as first-team coach, having joined the club in October 2020.
