ACADEMY MANAGER Dean Rastrick has left Tottenham after 13 years “to pursue new challenges and opportunities.”
Rastrick joined Spurs in 2010 as Academy Performance Manager before being promoted to Academy Manager in July 2017. In July 2020 he assumed overall responsibility for the Academy programme following John McDermott's move to the Football Association to become Head of Academy Coaching and Player Development.
Rastrick said: “I've had an amazing 13 years at the club and feel privileged for the responsibility and support I have been given throughout my tenure – I am immensely proud of what we have achieved.
“The club has given me the opportunity to operate at the highest levels of youth football across Europe and the world and to build strong relationships with our domestic stakeholders at UEFA, FIFA, the ECA and various partners across the globe.
“I have been very fortunate to have worked with some incredible staff, people and young players throughout my journey and sit proudly and watch them thrive and flourish, be it here or elsewhere, as elite players, coaches or members of staff.
“What is also very rewarding has been watching the development of our staff and players and a sense of pride at the journeys they have been on as people, not just footballers.
“At this stage in my career, I feel it is the right time for me to move on and I will always look back at my time at Tottenham Hotspur with great pride and affection.”
Tottenham said “Dean leaves the Club with our thanks for his dedication, expertise and with our best wishes” and added that they would be providing “further details on our structure and personnel in due course.”
Tottenham placed fifth in our Academy Productivity Rankings for 2021/22.
