FULHAM are looking for a Head of Academy Coaching after Steve Wigley was switched to a new role.

The 57-year-old, who has been at the club since June 2015, will now focus on coaching the 17 to 21 age group.

Academy Director Huw Jennings told TGG: “Steve has done very well in this position but is excellent on the training pitch with the players, so this role will maximise his strengths.

“Because of the size of a modern Category 1 Academy like ours, you can’t realistically coach both the players and the coaches. It’s just too big a job for one man, so we’ve decided to have this reorganisation of roles.”

The closing date for applications is this Friday, January 4th. Wigley is hugely experienced, having been a coach at clubs including Bolton, Hull and Manchester City, assistant with Nottingham Forest and England U21s, and manager of Aldershot and Southampton.
