West Ham release Head of Medical Gary Lewin
Lewin previously worked for Arsenal for 22 years

WEST HAM Head of Medical Gary Lewin has left the club after less than a year in post.
Lewin, who was Head Physio with England for 12 years and Arsenal for 22 years, was appointed last summer on a one-year deal. However, the club has decided not to extend it following the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini as manager earlier this week.
Club doctor Ian Beasley, who worked with Lewin for Arsenal and England and was also appointed last July, has been released as well. So too has goalkeeping coach Chris Woods, who arrived in June 2015, and Head of Sport Science Nick Davies, who was appointed last December.
West Ham released a short statement saying: “The club would like to thank Chris, Gary, Ian and Nick for their excellent service and commitment. They leave with the club's gratitude and respect and West Ham United wish them all the very best in the future.
“Following the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini as manager, a restructuring of the coaching and backroom staff is currently underway, with several new appointments set to be confirmed in due course.”
Lewin and Davies replaced Stijn Vandenbroucke, who was Head of Sport Science and Medicine, while Beasley replaced Dr Tamim Khanbhai.
