ASSISTANT manager Paul Trollope and first team coach Paul Nevin have been sacked along with Chris Hughton at Brighton.

Hughton, who was appointed by the club in December 2014, was fired on Monday following a run of three wins in 23 league games. Trollope, who had previously worked with him at Birmingham and Norwich, joined Brighton in November 2016.

Nevin (above), who had worked with the duo at Norwich, joined the Seagulls in June 2016.

Chairman Tony Bloom said: “I would like to wish Chris, Paul and Paul – who have all worked extremely hard throughout their time here – every success for the future, and thank them on behalf of everyone at the club.

“They will always be welcome at the Amex, and will be remembered here with great affection.”

Former Wales international Trollope had a spell as manager of Cardiff before replacing Colin Calderwood as Hughton’s replacement at the Amex.

Nevin is a former Head of Coaching for the Premier League who has held a number of roles across the world including Academy and reserve team manager at Fulham, boss of the New Zealand Knights, Football Performance Manager at the Aspire Academy in Qatar and Head of Coaching at Norwich City.

He also worked with the England national team last November as part of a BAME placement scheme designed to “improve the pipeline of future talent”.
