BEN ROSENBLATT will step down as England’s Lead Physical Performance Coach after their June camp.
Rosenblatt joined the Football Association in September 2016, having previously worked for the English Institute of Sport for three years.
During his time with the EIS he was Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach for England and Great Britain hockey and helped GB Women win gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
In club football he has worked as Head of Sport Science and Conditioning at Birmingham City.
The FA are now looking for a replacement for Rosenblatt and are advertising for “a world-class specialist to deliver the Physical Performance programme for our men's senior side.”
This person will also “be accountable for the technical leadership, philosophical direction and operational management of the physical performance department which services the entire pathway (15 to seniors).”
Posting the job on Twitter, Rosenblatt said: “All I can say is that this is the best job in sport. It’s been so tough to take the decision to move in a different direction. But I’m as excited about my future, as I am of this fantastic team and people.”
England face Malta away on June 16th and Macedonia at Old Trafford on June 19th as their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign continues.
