Dave Rennie: Was Head Physio at Leicester City for more than 20 years

HEAD of Medical Performance Dave Rennie and First-Team Coach Jason Euell have left Bristol City following the sacking of manager Nigel Pearson.

Pearson was sacked after two-and-a-half years following last weekend’s 2-0 defeat by Cardiff City, which left the Robins 15th in the Championship.

Rennie had been with the club since June 2021, having also worked with Pearson at Leicester City for four years. Writing on Twitter, alongside photos of the city’s unicorn and balloon festivals, the harbour and a player on the side of the pitch, he said: “From unicorns and balloons to harbourside and players, I have loved every second. ?

“The staff and players have embraced change, developed a collective identity of which I am proud. The city, the culture, the fans & the club will always stay with me

Rennie was previously Leicester’s Head Physio for more than 20 years and has worked at more than 1,100 games across the Champions League, Premier League, Championship and League One.

Euell, a former Premier League striker and UEFA Pro Licence holder, had worked for the club since June 2022. He had previously been First-Team Coach at Charlton and Assistant with England Under-18s and U20s.

Bristol City will now be led on an interim basis by Curtis Fleming, who has been with the Robins for two years as Assistant. He has previously worked for clubs including Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and QPR.

He will be assisted by Ali Hines, who steps up from U21s Lead, and former Robins player Kalifa Cisse, who has been an International Scout with the club since July 2019.
