QPR Head of Medical Services Matthew May has taken over from Paul Godfrey in the same role at Cardiff City.

As TGG revealed in May, Godfrey was sacked by the Bluebirds after little more than a year in post. No reason was given for the decision.

May has been at QPR since the summer of 2016, when he took over from Derby-bound Nigel Cox. However, his time at the west London club did not coincide with that of manager Neil Warnock, who is now in charge of Cardiff.

The Welsh side have not made any announcement about the appointment and still list Godfrey as Head of Medical on their club website.
