Martyn Margetson has left his role as England Goalkeeper Coach after eight years.
The Welshman joined the Three Lions in August 2016, when Sam Allardyce was manager. He stayed on under Gareth Southgate and was a key part of the coaching staff that helped the side reach two Euros finals (2020 and 2024) and the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
Margetson had previously worked for Wales, Cardiff City, Crystal Palace and Everton during a distinguished coaching career. He had a close working relationship with England number one Jordan Pickford, having also coached him at Everton.
He will now focus full-time on his role as Head of Goalkeeping at Swansea City. Margetson left the Swans in August 2021, following the arrival of Russell Martin as manager, but returned in July 2023.
His son Kit Margetson signed his first pro contract with the Championship side this summer.
