Manchester City’s Bradley Wall has been appointed Head of Recruitment at Portsmouth.

He replaces Phil Boardman, who left Pompey in February after six-and-a-half years to become Senior European Scout covering Germany, Holland and Belgium for Everton.

Wall has been Northern UK Youth Scouting Manager for Manchester City since March 2023. His exit means City are now looking for their third person in that role in 18 months, with Wall’s predecessor, Paul Midgley, having left to become Head of Youth Recruitment at Newcastle United in December 2022.

Wall worked in senior scouting roles for Wolves before joining City and has also been an analyst with Rangers and the Football Association. He will report into Sporting Director Rich Hughes at newly-promoted Pompey.
