MANCHESTER CITY’S most experienced analyst, Aaron Briggs, has left the club after nine years to join Monaco.
Briggs joined City in 2011 from Preston North End, initially as a performance analyst with the Under-18s. Since August 2018 he has been the club’s senior first-team performance analyst. At Monaco, his title will be Tactical Analysis Coach.
On LinkedIn, Briggs wrote: “After nine years at the club I grew up supporting, it’s time for a new challenge. Being fortunate to be given the opportunity to become the U18s Performance Analyst within the Academy at Platt Lane all that time ago I have enjoyed every minute since.
“To all the wonderful staff who have helped me develop I will forever be grateful - thank you. Time for the next chapter.”
Monaco already have a strong English contingent, with Paul Mitchell as their Sporting Director and Laurence Stewart the Head of Recruitment.
