Man Utd hire Arsenal Head Physio Reece as rebuild continues

Manchester United have landed Arsenal Head Physio Jordan Reece as they look to further strengthen their medical department.

Reece has worked for Arsenal for almost 12 years, having first joined them from Crystal Palace as an Academy Physio in December 2012. He was promoted to First Team Physio in June 2018 and then Head Physio in August 2020.

His boss throughout that time was Gary O’Driscoll, who was Head of Sports Medicine for the Gunners for 15 years before taking on the same role with United last September in what was regarded as a major coup.

One of O'Driscoll's first major acts was to sack Head Physio Robin Sadler, who Reece has now replaced. Sadler left United in February after three years at Old Trafford.

United’s 2023/24 season was blighted by injuries, which the club argue has highlighted the need to strengthen their medical department. They believe the recruitment of Reece - whose start date has not yet been confirmed - will further support that aim.

Arsenal are now looking for a new First Team Physio to fill the void left by Reece.
