GOALKEEPER COACH Christophe Lollichon has left Chelsea after 15 years.
The Frenchman joined the club in November 2007 from Rennes, along with keeper Petr Cech, who is now the club’s Technical and Performance Advisor.
During his time as first-team goalkeeper coach and then, from 2016, Head of Goalkeeping, Lollichon was part of the group that won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League.
In recent seasons he has been one of the club’s Loan Player Technical Coaches, liaising with the Blues’ goalkeepers who are out on loan.
In addition, he has helped develop the training methods of the young goalkeepers at the Academy and also assisted with scouting and recruitment, including for current Chelsea number one Edouard Mendy.
Lollichon tweeted: “After 15 years at Chelsea it’s time to announce that I am leaving. From first team goalkeeper coach to working with the keepers on loan and the recruitment dept, being a part of the club’s success has been an honour. Thank you to the fans & everyone at the club.”
Chelsea added: “We wish Christophe well for the next stage of his career. He will always be welcome at Stamford Bridge.”
Meanwhile, first-team strength and conditioning coach Adam Burrows has also left Stamford Bridge. He arrived from Derby in September 2019, having previously worked with manager Frank Lampard during his time at Pride Park.
Burrows will now be running a strength and conditioning programme across multiple sports at Nottingham Trent University.
