Nick Irwin: Was Head of Academy Sport Science & Medicine at West Brom from 2018 to 2020

NICK IRWIN has left the Professional Game Academy Audit Company (PGAAC) after three years to take up the new role of Head of Academy Operations and Compliance at West Ham.

Irwin has a background in Sport Science and Medicine and worked for Watford, Millwall, Cambridge United and West Brom before joining PGAAC as a Performance Auditor in August 2020. He worked alongside West Ham Academy Manager Kenny Brown at Millwall and Grays Athletic.

Head of Operations is becoming an increasingly important role in big Academies like Category One West Ham, with staff often numbering at least 70 and the audit process becoming more and more challenging for clubs.
