Huddersfield appoint Olaf Rebbe as Sporting Director

GERMAN Olaf Rebbe has been appointed as Sporting Director by Huddersfield Town.
The 40-year-old will oversee scouting, analysis, sports science and medicine, while working closely with Academy boss Leigh Bromby.
Rebbe ultimately replaces David Moss, who departed in October 2017 after just four months as Director of Football Operations.
Rebbe, who joins the Terriers on June 1st, was sacked by Wolfsburg in April 2018 after 18 months as their Sporting Director. He had been at the German club for six years, having initially joined as Head of Sport.
He is said to be particularly strong on "data and process" and although he and manager David Wagner share the same nationality, they have no previous involvement.
On the pitch, Wolfsburg have struggled this season, finishing third from bottom of the Bundesliga.
Indeed were Wagner to leave (he has been linked with clubs including Chelsea during the last few weeks), then Rebbe would be responsible for finding his replacement.
Recruitment for the role was led by Nolan Partners.
