Pepper took Burnley from Category Three to One

FORMER Burnley Academy Manager Jon Pepper has joined Lincoln City.

Pepper worked for the Clarets for five years, from 2016 to 2021, and oversaw their rise from Category Three to Category One status. Since leaving Burnley in June 2021, he has worked as a consultant for Nigerian club Vandrezzer and also Chesterfield.

His title at Category Three Lincoln will be Head of Academy.

Lincoln Director of football Jez George said: “We are delighted to have secured a candidate of Jon’s pedigree and calibre to succeed Jordan McCann as our Head of Academy.

“Jon’s CV speaks for itself and he will bring undoubted experience, knowledge and expertise to the role that can only help us to achieve our vision for the academy.

“His leadership and management skills will drive the continued growth and development of the academy, which is fundamental to the club’s long-term football strategy.”
