PAUL GODFREY has been sacked as Head of Medical Services by newly-promoted Cardiff City.

The experienced practitioner was appointed in March 2017 and headed up the club’s medical and sport science departments.

He held the same role at Swindon Town from September 2011 to March 2017 and at Notts County from June 2009 to May 2011.

Cardiff have not given any reason for the decision and a replacement has not yet been announced. Godfrey also previously worked for UK Athletics and the English Institute for Sport.
