PAUL BOWER has been promoted to Head of Performance and James Beck to Head of Performance and Innovation at Huddersfield Town as part of a revamp of roles at the Championship club.

Bower joined the Terriers in June 2017 as Lead Academy Performance Coach, having previously worked for the Football Association with England’s age group teams and at Barnsley.

He replaces Callum Walsh, who left to join Newcastle United at the end of 2020/21.

Beck steps up to the new role of Head of Performance and Innovation after four years with the club’s Academy, where he was latterly Head of Analysis.

He will focus on longer-term projects and innovations, as well as on day-to-day analysis, with Dan Payne stepping up from analyst to become lead analyst.

The changes come after former Huddersfield's Head of Analysis Craig Nosworthy left to join Manchester City to become Opposition Analyst at the end of last season.

Bower and Nosworthy presented at TGG's Individual Development Coaching Webinar in June, along with Huddersfield Director of Football Operations Leigh Bromby (see clip below).
