Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Glenn van der Kraan as their Academy Technical Director, with Jack Francis promoted to become Academy Football Operations Director.

Richard Dunne and Kolo Toure have returned to Manchester City as Academy coaches. Former club captain Dunne will assist U18s Lead Oliver Reiss, while Toure will assist Jamie Carr with the U16s.

Dean Wright has left his role as Academy Manager at Ipswich Town by mutual consent after two years.

Huddersfield Town’s Academy has been upgraded to Category Three status, seven years after they chose to downgrade it to Category Four. The Terriers will now admit players from the age of eight upwards.

Darren Hughes has been promoted to the new role of Head of Individual Player Development at Manchester City and will now set about building a new department at the club.
